Testimonials and Updates From Clients
Trooper was adopted at 10 months old from the Humane Society. He didn't have any socialization and as a result was not very good around other dogs. I took him to just about every obedience class in the city and ended up with a very obedient dog who was not very good around other dogs.
I then tried "Dog behaviourists". There are a lot of expensive, scary people out there who claim to know dog behaviour and more than a few of them did a lot of damage to my sweet boy with their harsh methods. I was told by these professionals that Trooper would have to be "put down" if I didn't follow their advice and that he would never be able to play with other dogs. I had given up on those "trainers" but then I met Allyson. Dog Behave has been a life saver. Trooper does not have severe problems, he has anxiety and is a big fearful baby. Allyson worked with us to understand his behaviour and I am happy to report that Trooper now runs and plays happily at off leash and at Doggie Daycare without problems. He is a happier dog and I am a happier owner. God Bless you Allyson |
Parkland County
Al McCully - General Manager, Community Services "Allyson, Thanks for the follow up I had to a Councillor inquiry about "what an animal behaviour consultant" is. After our ph. discussion I was curious about the Compass program and about to do a google search. The County is fortunate to have an Animal Control Officer with your different experience, commitment to professional development and the pursuit of innovative techniques. Al" |
Just wanted to give a special thanks to Allyson at Dog Behave for her advise and expertise. Because of you, we have the most well behaved, loving, kind, and well mannered little boy. We have many times said Allyson was a true blessing to our family. We very much respect her opinion and her approach as everything she has taught us has been effective. Luke responds to her very well. I would definitely recommend Allyson to all my friends, family and all of you that are considering a new addition to your family. After interviewing several behaviourists, we choose Allyson and we couldn't have been happier with our decision. We have since referred her to several people that all have the same opinion! "Hi Allyson,
Just wanted to touch base with you to give you really good news.... Have conquered putting on the muzzle on Rusty and he was actually very good.... AND did it without the welding gloves...The basket muzzle makes all the difference... My sister came with her Bouvier so it was a must and he has done extremely well and so have I...Finally I am the leader... Even my sister has noticed a tremendous difference in the dogs and ME!!!" Donna and Rusty Subject: Gracie and Payne Hi there Allyson Hope all is well. Just sending you a update. The dogs are very well behaved. No problems in the house or the car. Gracie has her barking brain lapses in the car, this is rare. Walks are good. For the last 9 days she has accepted the haltie. It's a 50/50 crap shoot when we pass dogs. It is getting better and I expect that improvement will continue". Take care Marty "Hello Allyson, Murphy is certainly improving. Car rides and walks are also part of our daily routine. Before each walk, he use to attack the gate door and now he simply sits in front of the gate, a huge improvement. When going for car rides, he use to whine at the back, that has completely stopped." Thanks George Hi Allyson A quick note to let you know that the thunder treats work really well for Sunny. The very first storm of the season, I did as instructed and Sunny being the treat motivated piglet that he is, responded fabulously. He was freaked at first as usual (the storm went on for at least 50 mins) and by the end of it all he was sitting relaxed and seemed very calm. Sunny thanks you too, as a fearful dog is not a happy dog. Thanks again, Lindie |
